Where and When to Go for Optimum Photo Opportunities

Having the skills to make a great image is one aspect of photography, but you can’t make great shots if you don’t know where and when to find your subjects. You’ll find different bird activity at different locations, and at different times of the year. There are too many great birding locations to cover, so in this chapter I’ll point out a few of my favorite places.
