A good construction manager knows that any successful project begins with good planning (see Figure 2.1). This is true for planning a BIM project. Although the deliverables are different between virtual construction and actual construction, the goals and focus of completing a successful project are the same. This is why it is important to define how you'll use BIM as a tool before beginning a project.
