Owners can benefit greatly through the use of an as-built model as a project deliverable. Currently, one of the largest problems in dealing with end-of-project information is the huge amount of documentation owners are left to deal with. For example, submittals provide very specific information about a product on everything from door hardware to HVAC systems and include extensive data about equipment such as the manufacturer, warranty, and color.
