5.7. Conclusion

This chapter has covered building information modeling and clarifications, how to train the superintendent, set up a BIM enabled job trailer, field construction, and punch lists. All of these topics are specific to BIM processes; however they are not by any means the only coordination that can be accomplished on a job site. In a way, this chapter covers the basic "how to" of BIM during construction administration and it shows where there are current solutions and shortcomings alike. Conceptually, what is important is that the evolution of BIM from design to fabrication, to construction should continue to become a more refined and accurate tool. The model should only be replaced by a more accurate and detailed model.
