Throughout this book I have talked about process. Creating a BIM process depends on the current software available, but at the same time changes made to the design and construction of a project must be profitable in order to be worthwhile. Process change, technology implementation, and the addition of personnel resources all take time to develop. Shifting from CAD technology and CAD thinking is something that will be done over time, not overnight, and there are many hurdles to getting BIM integrated into a company.
