“Can I really make money in China and India?” is a question I am frequently asked by colleagues and friends. Just as often executives already convinced of the money to be made in Asia tell me, “We simply must be in China.”

Yes, a company can make money in China and India, but it cannot do so overnight and may have to wait five years or more to realize profits.
