ABOUT THE AUTHOR

TARUN KHANNA is the Jorge Paulo Lemann Professor at Harvard Business School. After receiving a bachelor’s degree in engineering and the sciences at Princeton where he wrote a book on artificial intelligence, he detoured briefly through Wall Street. He then earned a PhD in Business Economics at Harvard. Since 1993 he has immersed himself with entrepreneurs, investors, and civil society in China, India, and other emerging markets worldwide. In 2007 he was elected a Young Global Leader (under 40) by the World Economic Forum.

Dr. Khanna relishes teaching MBAs and executives at Harvard. Executive teaching, research, advisory work, and investing activities take him regularly to China and India as well as to Brazil, Chile, South Africa, ...
