Q1: Explain why you chose the languages that you offer.
A1: The site was originally developed in English; the first additional languages chosen were Spanish and German. Both languages were chosen because they account for a large number of web users and because there are few resources available in these languages. It also helped that the webmaster was fluent in German. Portuguese was chosen because we have numerous befriending centers in Brazil, and Danish because we were running a large program in Denmark. Finnish and Dutch were chosen because they are languages from countries with a high level of Internet use.
