A GOOD BEGINNING

With Arabic complete, your web page now comfortably speaks to a potential audience of 2.2 billion people and more than 80% of all web users (see Figure 16). Even with eight languages, however, you’re only just getting started. The Hands-On exercises neglected to tackle a host of localization challenges, such as date and currency formatting, form inputs, interactivity, and so forth. But now that you have a solid grounding in the basics, particularly character set/encoding issues, you’re fully prepared to take on the more complex challenges that await.
