TRANSLATION

For translation, you’ll need to select a translator/editor team or outsource the work to a translation vendor. Few translators or vendors will be thrilled to work on a job this small, so expect some minimum charges to apply. As a rule, always try to quote localization projects in their entirety as opposed to piecemeal; this allows you to leverage lower per-word rates and also saves you the added hassle of constantly soliciting new quotes. To get a quick idea on price, try the BerlitzIT web-based translation service (see Figure 10) at www.berlitzit.com. Based on 225 words, BertlitzIT quotes $54 (a bit more than its $50 minimum charge).
