We stand at the threshold of the age of Unicode-friendly software. Because Unicode supports all major languages, any software application that supports Unicode will support your web localization efforts. Unfortunately, not all software fully supports Unicode. Not yet, at least. Although Windows 98 provided partial Unicode support, it wasn’t until 2000 and XP that Microsoft offered native Unicode support for consumers.
