A poorly written web page will be reflected in poorly written translations around the world for all to see, but a well-written web page has the potential to increase sales and set you apart from your competitors (who probably have their share of poorly written web pages).

Too many organizations invest more resources in the visual elements of a web site than the textual elements. Although global web design is important and will be covered in the following chapter, it’s not more important than text—and often it’s less important. As you manage localization projects, don’t underestimate the power of the written word, in any language.
