Television and radio scripts aren’t uniform from one newsroom to another—among other reasons, they use different scripting software. What’s more, formats are different depending on their use: at the station, or in the field. This chapter is strictly about use inside the station (generally, the field reporter can scribble the script on her hand, as long as she can read it, although that’s not recommended).
