Building on the five business drivers, Ecolab designed and implemented a Talent Pipeline framework that specified the required skills and activities that supported development in and transition through the key passages for each of five organizational pipeline levels:
• Managing oneself (an individual contributor)
• Managing others (front-line leaders)
• Managing managers (mid- to senior-level leaders)
• Function managers (leaders responsible for an entire function)
• Business managers (leaders responsible for an entire line of business)
