Chapter 11. Continuous Improvement

Being agile requires continuous improvement because teams that continue to learn, adapt, and grow are more productive and competitive. Agile is a never-ending journey of getting better.

I regularly reach out to teams that have adopted agile on their own to see if they need any help and to see if they have any questions or issues regarding their agile adoption. I admit to being surprised at the some of the responses I get. Although many of the teams welcome my overtures, some have responded by saying something like, “Thanks for the offer. We know we’re not 100 percent agile, but we’ve done the best we can so there’s not much you can do to help.”
