Set Expectations

When you contact your stakeholders and ask that they participate with you during the development of your next project, they may not have a good understanding of how best to interact with you, especially because it will be different than what they are used to if they have only participated in Beta programs in the past. This means that setting expectations with your stakeholders is a necessary step. First, they need to understand that their participation will look quite different—no longer will you “disappear” for 6 months, or 9 months, or a year and then suddenly pop up, announce a Beta program, and expect them to drop everything and participate.
