How Often Do You Build?

If you don’t have the capability of completing at least two “production-level” builds every day, then you will struggle being successful with agile. The effort to put in place a robust continuous integration environment and practice gets everyone “on the same build” all the time and will result in a large productivity boost. Short iterations are almost impossible with anything less than the ability to create two builds a day. Otherwise, a build break can mean at least a day (or longer) between good builds. Continuous integration is also a key enabling practice for DevOps.
