Nearest Even Integer (EVEN)

Syntax: EVEN(Number)

The EVEN function is useful when you want results to be presented as even integer numbers. It rounds the given number up to the nearest even integer, which is just what you need if you need to count quantities such as “pairs of socks” or “pairs of gloves.” For example, if your worksheet reports that you need to sell 12,467.349888 socks to pay off the money gods, use the following formula to turn that cold number into something a human can understand:

=EVEN(12,467.349888)/2
