iOS Game Controllers were announced at the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2013 as part of iOS 7, in response to one of the chief complaints that had arisen after the launch of the iPhone in 2007 and the arrival of iPhone gaming in 2008: the lack of tactile feedback.
