1.6. Create Your First AIR Application

Proceed through the following steps to create your first AIR application.

  • Open Flex Builder 3 and select File New Flex Project from the navigation menu at the top of the screen. See Figure 1-11.

  • Next, enter MyFirstAIR as the Project name, and select "Desktop application" (runs in Adobe AIR) in the "Application type" section. See Figure 1-12.

  • The next screen allows you to choose an output location; just leave it as it is. See Figure 1-13.

  • The fourth step allows you to set the source folder, the main application file name, and the application id. It also allows you to add library assets (SWC files, etc.). Leave it as it is and click Finish. See Figure 1-14.
