Directions: Use this tool to rate yourself on the competencies essential for being a mentee. For each competency listed in the left column, rate yourself in the right column. Use this scale: 0 = Not appropriate; 1 = Needs improvement; 2 = Able to demonstrate competency; 3 = Able to demonstrate the competency adequately; 4 = Able to demonstrate the competency very well. When you are finished, use this tool to plan professional development to improve your mentoring competence.
