To Build a Can-Do Team: Use Delegation That EM POWERS

While it is true that in this book we introduce a new leadership strategy called situational doing, which encourages managers to selectively do work they might have delegated, we are not recommending that doing should take priority over delegating as a way for can-do leaders to get things done. We are proposing that, contrary to popular wisdom, doing some of the work you might have delegated can actually help you become better at delegating—better, that is, at employing the kind of delegation that fully empowers teams to succeed. At the end of the day, this results in getting things done faster, better, and cheaper.
