Chapter 23. Working with Message-Driven Beans

by James Huang

IN THIS CHAPTER

Message-Driven beans are a nice addition in the EJB 2.0 specification; they make JMS and asynchronous interactions much easier to develop in an EJB environment. In this chapter, we discuss when and why to use Message-Driven beans, and explain how to create and use them with a simple example. You can use the sample code as a template and follow the steps to create and use your own Message-Driven beans in your J2EE applications.
