Encryption Licensing

WebLogic Server 8 series comes with 56-bit encryption. If 128-bit encryption is desired, a 128-bit encryption license must be purchased from BEA. This license must be present in the BEA home directory before installation; otherwise, only 56-bit encryption is available for SSL. A 128-bit encryption allows both 128 and 56-bit encryption schemes. The WebLogic 8 series evaluation license supports only 56-bit encryption.
