In this chapter we discussed the process of configuring domains. There are three steps to the process: first, you must back up the configuration of your Administration server prior to making any changes. Second, you should create a new server instance on the Administration server and modify the startWebLogic scripts to contain the new domain. Third, you should create the new domain on any Managed servers and modify their startManagedWebLogic scripts to reflect the new domain.
