The difference between location and studio

A location programme will still go through all the stages from conceptualization to scripts that were mentioned in the first section on ‘a little paperwork’, indeed one of the examples used was based on a location insert. Here we will only look at the additional paperwork that will need to be generated for a location shoot.

The studio is an enclosed environment, with all the cameras, lights and sound equipment already fitted, and the programme normally continues in a linear fashion using the vision mixer to ‘edit’ between the required shots.
