How to use this book

Whilst you may choose to read this book from cover to cover, it is essentially designed as a ‘dip-in’ book. You will see that the beginning pages are concerned with the studio process, the middle with single camera and the last pages with editing. It is possible to read only the section which interests you at the moment, without reference to the other sections. It also caters for those of you who have ‘been put on lighting (or any other job) today!’ Each section on the crews, their roles and the equipment used is complete and needs no reference to any other part of the book.
