Voltage

Several types of measurements relate to electricity. The first of these is voltage, which is measured in volts (V). Voltage is the pressure of the electricity. In a given medium, the speed of electricity is constant, but the pressure is not. The typical flashlight battery has a voltage of 1.5 V. The electricity in your home, on the other hand, is 120 V. So you could say that the electricity in your house has a lot more pressure behind it.
