Capgen over VT

In this example the promos are out of vision (OOV), and consist of a capgen over a VT background. This is also a common technique, having a long tape of a moving background which is appropriate for the programme, and placing large captions over the top of it.

Credit rollers

The only thing that really matters here is that you know exactly how long it takes for the credits to run through. You may need to finish them before a final caption appears (often a production company credit). Once credit rollers have started there is usually little you can do to speed them up.
