Give cameras a basic role, but be flexible.

Simple, basic coverage

There are two things you know you will need to see. Your presenter talking, and a close-up of what he is talking about. If you have these you have basic coverage. Obviously there are other shots you may want to have – wider shots, alternative close-up shots, top-down shots etc.

There are two main alternative presenter shots – a medium close-up (showing just their head and shoulders) or a mid shot, which shows the item in front of the presenter. Let your presenter know which is his camera, and where it will be.
