Glossary

The following terms are ones mentioned in the book, gathered for your convenience. There’s a wide vocabulary used by LEGO robotics fans, ranging from programming terms unique to Mindstorms to concepts common across all flavors of robotics.

A

Analog: An electronic signal that delivers information through variances in frequency and amplitude in a continuous stream, as opposed to a digital signal, which returns the result as a series of numbers.

Angle Beam: A Technic beam that has one or two bends along its length.

Angle Connector: Technic connector that comes in different angles, allowing parts to be connected in ways other than the usual (and boring!) 90 degrees.
