Objectives

This chapter analyses diode circuits and load line with the Q-point concept. The formulation of the diode as a voltage regulator, half-wave rectifier, and full-wave rectifier along with bridge rectification and performance analysis of rectifier circuits will be dealt with in detail. This is followed by a derivation of peak inverse voltage, dc voltage and current, ripple factor, and efficiency.
