How to do it...

Open a new cost calculator if you want to have the cost for only EC2 related components or use the same cost calculator used for the earlier recipe. Choose Amazon EC2 from the left menu bar:

Click + under Compute: Amazon EC2 Instances: to add EC2 to the cost calculator. Enter the description, the number of instances, and the usage details. Click on the icon for type. The following window will open. Choose the instance type and operating system based on your need. Click on Close and Save:
