50. Understand the Big Picture

What is the big picture? It is your entire business operation: your coworkers, every department and branch in your company, and even your competition. You give customers your best when you understand the big picture. Knowing your own job is not enough to give great customer service. You also need to understand how everyone works together for your customers. Otherwise, you may not be able to give customers exactly what they need. Remember, though, your customers see you as the big picture. They do not care if you need to call another department to check on something or if the problem was someone else’s fault. They are speaking to you, and you are the only picture they see.
