The traditional design deliverables have been presented for the conceptual and basic design phases (Chapters 3 and 10). This chapter introduces those for the detailed design phase.
However, like the previous cases, it is not the objective of this chapter to describe the deliverables with the same rigor applied to those for availability. Instead, the purpose is to acquaint the reader with the traditional capital project deliverables of the phase. It is also to identify the fundamental bilateral relationships between availability and traditional deliverables.
The intertask relationships are extensive. It is outside the scope of this book to explore them.
