I sat in Ricardo’s office, waiting for him to arrive. He was late. Deidra, his administrative assistant, told me he’d had a breakfast meeting with Jessica, our CIO. Assuming Jessica hadn’t simply fired him on the spot, as the first sacrificial victim, he was probably getting some very ugly, detailed, and direct feedback about yesterday’s event, and what was expected of him going forward.
