By now you should be comfortable creating workflows with Starting Points, which will automatically insert actions into your workflow to get you going. There’s a lot more to Automator, however, than these simple beginnings. To do anything truly useful, you need to add more actions to your workflow than Starting Points provides, and you need to configure those actions to do what you want.
