In this lesson, use nesting to apply common or shared operators to various layers of an animation.

Overview

In this lesson, nest a set of selected layers inside a composite, then add an operator as a common operator for the nested layers. The resulting nested layers are still 2D layers arranged in 3D space (if in 3D compositing mode) that you can access within a hierarchy branch. However, in the context of the higher-level composite, the nested layers are regarded as a single 2D layer. You can also nest a composite if you plan to use all of its layers as a single 2D layer.
