In this AutoCAD – Space Planning training course, expert author Shaun Bryant teaches you the fundamentals of space planning, and how to utilize the tools available to you in AutoCAD. This video tutorial is designed for users that already have a working knowledge of AutoCAD. You will start out by learning how to set up objects within AutoCAD, including title blocks, units, and layers. You will then define space, learning about object snaps (OSNAP), gross external area (GEA), and gross internal area (GIA). This video based training course will teach you about using and working with blocks, such as how to utilize and edit attributes, edit blocks, and about the WBLOCK command. Shaun will demonstrate how to extract data using the extract data wizard, and will teach you how to extract to a table and a spreadsheet. Finally, you will learn to create a link to MS Excel, and how to update linked files. Once you have completed this computer based training course on space planning in AutoCAD, you will have an in-depth understanding of the subject, and how to apply it to your own personal or company projects.
