Storing, Presenting, and Extracting Data

The AutoCAD® 2013 program has several features that allow you to manipulate nongraphical data within your drawings. (Please note that AutoCAD® LT doesn’t support these features.) In this chapter, you’ll begin by defining attributes within a block definition in order to store data. You’ll proceed to enter values in several block references, and then you’ll create a table to organize and display this data on a drawing layout. The data shown in the table will be a mixture of static text and dynamically linked fields that display textual information in modelspace.
