In Chapter 6, we examined how computer graphics can be seamlessly embedded in a real scene, while we silently assumed that it is well known what information should be presented in AR. In truth, this is an important problem. The power of AR as a novel user interface paradigm derives in large part from its ability to display information that is relevant to a situation, task, or user. To successfully communicate the desired information, it must be put in an appropriate visual form. This is done through the application of suitable visualization techniques.
