Abstract

This chapter discusses the various ways in which users of augmented media may injure themselves, and the circumstances under which the creators of augmented experiences may be held liable for those injuries. The discussion covers slip-and-fall types of injuries, intentional torts, products liability, and automotive safety. The chapter also considers how AR applications may be useful for enhancing physical safety.
