Real Property Rights

Abstract

This chapter asks whether, and to what extent, owners of real property can, or should be able to, control the augmented content associated with their property. At least part of the answer comes from a very counter-intuitive source: the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. The chapter will also touch on other rights in real property that could be affected by augmented-world technologies, such as the law of trespass, nuisance, and easements.
