Xcode consists of an IDE that hosts your Xcode projects. When you build for iOS from Unity, it doesn't actually build an iOS executable. Rather, Unity builds an Xcode-ready project folder that you then open in Xcode to complete the compile, build, and deploy process in order to run the app on your device. Let's go:
- Be sure your device is turned on, connected, and you have granted access to the Mac.
- In Build Settings, click on the Build And Run button to begin building.
- You will be prompted for a name and location for the build files. We recommend that you create a new folder in your project root named Build and specify the file or subfolder name under that, as needed.
