Developing for HoloLens

This implementation of the project will focus on Microsoft HoloLens, using the MixedRealityToolkit Unity plugin. As we build the project, we will have the opportunity to explore the toolkit in more depth and with more explanation than in previous chapters:

  1. In File | Build Settings, first add the scene with Add Open Scene.
  2. Then Choose Platform Windows Store.
  3. Import the MixedRealityToolkit package (if you haven't downloaded it yet, you can find it at https://github.com/Microsoft/MixedRealityToolkit-Unity) using Assets | Import Package | Custom Package....
Note that the following Unity Editor menu item names may have changed in your version of the toolkit.
  1. From the main menu, choose MixedReality | Configure | Apply ...
