Chapter 32. Keeping Subscribers

Once you have a steady base of subscribers in your program, the trick now is to keep them. This is why you must continuously provide value, month after month. Your customer will stick with you if you do that. The following are some other tips to keep subscribers.

Love Your Members

Once you have a subscriber, you should make that subscriber feel special. Offer your subscribers members-only products and services that truly show your appreciation. Go above and beyond what you normally do. Then watch as they never, ever leave you.

Community

One of the best things you can offer your subscriber base is access to a vibrant community. Create a mastermind e-mail group or private message board area where your members can interact and help each other. This helps take some of the pressure off you as the only content provider and answer person, as well as helps your members easily communicate and bond together under your brand.

Referral Program

Reward your members for bringing in new members. You could set this up as a traditional affiliate program and pay out either a one-time fee for each new member or a longer term pay out for the life of the member. The point is that your existing members who love you are your best customer evangelists. It's in your favor to find ways to let them easily promote you to their friends and associates.
