This chapter provides a comprehensive overview of different methods involved in measuring the environmental impacts of textile products and processes. Differences between key measurement indicators and environmental legislation applicable to major countries or regions in the world such as the US and the EU are also discussed. This chapter also reviews the various environmental standards and schemes applicable to textiles and the clothing sector.
