How it works...

OmniSharp is a set of open source tools and extensions used in order to analyze .NET code on macOS and Linux code editors in real time, wrapping the code analysis tools. It was initially a VIM plugin, and it is now a plugin available on Emacs, Brackets, Atom, Sublime Text, VS Code, and VIM. All these code editors are available on Windows, macOS, and Linux.

OmniSharp is linked to your current IDE and will watch the folders of the project you're currently working on, query NuGet, and provide error detection, but its main goal is to provide intellisense for C# and the .NET Framework library outside of VS.
