Synopsis
The IP address of the client's machine or the client's proxy server.

Notes
You can only rarely assume this IP address represents the actual IP address of the client making the HTTP request. More often, it is either the address of a host (as is the case when the client is using an ISP) or the address of a proxy server (as is usually the case when the client is connecting from work).
