Cdonts.DLL: The dynamic link library and type library for the CDO for NTS COM objects. You must install this on the web server (using the latest executable setup file from Microsoft) before you can instantiate or use any of the CDO objects. It is installed by default when you install IIS 4.0. Microsoft Exchange does not have to be installed before installing CDO. However, SMTP (or Exchange) must be installed before you can successfully send and receive messages.
